10 Oct A hike and fall camp!
Hi Cubs families!
We hope you had a great thanksgiving weekend!
There’s a lot going on this week – (1) a hike, (2) a Howlers’ Camp on Friday night and (3) a camp for the whole pack on Saturday night!
(1) Wednesday – Hike
We will meet in the Long Lake Provincial Park parking lot off of North West Arm Dr (view map) and hike the Lakeview Trail. This trail goes around Withrod lake and is 5 km. Parents/caregivers, siblings are welcome!
Drop off: 6:30 at the furthest end of the parking lot, hike starting at 6:35
Pick up: 7:50-8 pm
What to bring: Bug spray, a flashlight, a compass (if you have one), footwear for walking, weather-appropriate clothing, a bottle of water, a bag to carry this stuff in!
Camping
This coming weekend, October 13-15, we will be having our first overnight camps of the season.
(2) Friday the 13th – Howlers’ Camp
The older cubs (the Howlers) will be arriving Friday night and having a special Howler’s Council. Howlers are the oldest Cubs in our pack, for whom this is their last year before moving up to Scouts (starts at age 11). Our plan is to sleep in tents, but this is not mandatory. If Howlers want, they can sleep in the cabin! We’d like as many Howlers as possible to attend! Register for this camp before Thursday. View information and register
(3) Saturday the 14th – ALL CUBS CAMP!
On Saturday, the rest of the cubs, will join the Howlers for an afternoon, night, and morning of fun…er…um…fantastic activities. A friendly reminder to let us know if your cub will be participating as soon as possible so we can plan. View information and register
You can also review the email sent by Keego for camp info and the registration link!
