Hi Cubs families,
This week – Wednesday January 17th
This Wednesday we’ll be meeting at the Emera Oval for a Cub family skate starting at 6:30 pm. We’ll have hot chocolate and cookies at around 7:45 pm. Family (and friends provided they are under your oversight and care) are welcome and encouraged to join.
Next weekend: One night winter camp – Friday Jan. 20
Our first camp of 2017 is one night, taking place at the 26th Halifax Miller Lake cabin next Friday. Registration is open.
Times: Drop off will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, pick-up at 1pm on Saturday.
Cost: Cost will be $20; we need funds on Wednesday night. Please place it in an envelope with your Cub’s name on the front!
Details:
- We’ll be covering outdoor and winter curriculum for the new badges available from Scouts Canada (view guide for parents).
- Please ensure your Cub has had supper before drop off on Friday!
- Packing for the weather will be very important for your Cub’s enjoyment. Print the Winter Camp packing list and use it as a check list. We suggest you get the materials out and have your Cub pack them, checking off items on the list as they are packed!
We’ll share the menu and agenda in the next few days. We’ll need parents to help out as well, so please indicate if you can participate in the registration form.
