16 Nov Chef Night with 26th Halifax Beavers!
Chef Beavers made cheese pizza from scratch. Our Beavers learned about yeast, making dough, preparing a pizza and baking it (with lots of supervision and help). We made the dough from scratch (white flour, yeast, water, salt, olive oil and a tiny bit of sugar [to feed our yeast!]). Beavers then rolled it into their own mini pizza and topped it using a commercial pizza sauce and using grated mozzarella cheese. While they baked, the Beavers had fun (despite Akela’s protests!) with balloons. Beavers were cautioned on the dangers of balloons and encouraged to use them safely. Beavers were able to take their yummy cooked pizzas home to enjoy! Sadly Akela went home hungry! NO FUN FOR AKELA!
