23 May 26th Cubs participate in World Orientation Day

This week (May 23, 2018) we participated in World Orienteering Day, put on by the Halifax Orienteering Club at Sir Sandford Fleming Park (The Dingle).
It was a great challenge – Cubs broke into teams and had to follow maps with their compasses to find the waypoints!
A number of Cubs left with awards from the Halifax Orienteering Club in the beginner category.
It’s a great family activity as well; be forewarned that when you are following a team of Cub Scouts, running is required to keep up!
