NSCC’s Rose Legge gives 26th Halifax Cubs a tour of the NSCC Aviation Institute.

This week we were fortunate to have NSCC’s Rose Legge give 17 of our Cubs (and an assortment of leaders and parents) a tour of the NSCC Aviation Institute, located down the road from the NSCC Waterfront Campus (the Aviation Institute is located on Pleasant Street at the Dartmouth Gate building, the former Moirs Plant).

It’s one of metro’s best kept secrets for kids; a 43,000 square-foot facility with 14 small aircraft on site; 3 Cessnas, 2 Aztecs, 1 Comanche, 1 Cheeroke, 3 Bell & 2 Hughes helicopters and lots more to see. We had lots of opportunities to explore the aircraft – something we’d never experience anywhere else! The Cubs also also had a group photo in front of a jet turbine engine from a 747!

A HUGE thank you to Rose and NSCC for making this possible!
